Yes, I know..we lost another one. But this time, it wasn't so bad. The score can be misleading as the Canucks actually put on a pretty good show at times and Cory Schnieder, although giving up two goals, was pretty solid in net and gave his team a chance to come back. Cody Hodgson scored a goal right as the buzzer sounded to end the 2nd period. It was so close that they went to Toronto for review to confirm that the puck had not crossed the line by the time the clock ran out. He was 1/10th of a second off. Sucks. Could have started the 3rd 2-1. Oh well. Then in the second period our best chance would have been the wide open net after Howard when down that Alex Burrows was unable to put away instead hitting the cross bar
And what the heck is up Alex Edler's sticks breaking? Three times in one game and he broke two more the other night?!?! Someone get this boy a real hockey stick to play with. He obviously started working out this summer to have such a hard shot! His old sticks can't take the beating anymore!
All in all, it was a good effort by the guys and I'm feeling good with Schneider in net. So far, Lu's SV% is .855% and Cory's is .935% on games played so far. Keep it up Cory. The Canucks were outshot 37-25. Canucks could have used more shots, shots, shots, shots, shot shot...shots! I'm sure Kevin Bieksa would also agree with me.
